St Paul Bitten By a Snake

St Paul Bitten By a Snake

St Paul was bitten by a snake right in front of a number of natives on the island of Malta, who knew that these snakes were poisonous, and a bite meant you would “swell up or fall down dead”. Since he remained unharmed they concluded that he was a god (Acts 28:5).

Posted on the feast of St Publius.
