One of the characters in Apokalupsis is called Ariya. I just made up her name. Somebody wrote in and told me it's a name in Thailandese and means an enlighted person. I certainly do not understand Thai. I think that a person who thinks himself "enlighted" because of something they know more than someone else, is actually deluded. Real enlightment by the Holy Spirit means seeing yourself as God sees you, realising one's faults and that God loves you as you are - however - making one's effort to improve on them, etc. It begins by God calling you, to repentance, etc, and then you have to make your effort, your participation. We aren't robots of course, we have free will, isn't that beautiful? It's our choice. Everyone is called to this.
This is correct sense of that phrase which is much abused today by many.
